Skin Lightening

Skin Lightening works on the principle of using different methods (creams, lasers, serums, chemicals, oral medications etc.,) to reduce the melanin deposition in the skin making it look a tone lighter.

The Skin Lightening Treatments
Topical
The creams and serums work on the epidermis, that is their effect is mostly on the visible skin. The properties of the creams thus restrict to bleaching or hydrating for glow. The skin does absorb some of the ingredients but the effect is only till the epidermis, failing to reach the dermis and hence the overall result is short-lived. Thus, it would be wrong to say that these are totally ineffective but they would rather be used for maintenance than cure.

Oral
Next in the line come the oral medications, mainly glutathione based. Glutathione for your information is an antioxidant produced in the liver and responsible for preventing pigmentation by reducing melanin deposition. Taking glutathione orally helps as the ingredient dissolves in the blood stream and works. However, everything we take orally first goes to our liver, gets processed and then goes into the bloodstream to work where it should. This entire cycle results in some amount of wastage thus reducing the overall efficacy.

Injectables/Laser
And finally we come to the two most effective solutions. One is glutathione or Vitamin-C based injections and the other is the Laser treatment. The injections are given directly into the bloodstream and thus get to work immediately bringing changes from within the body. The Lasers on the other hand break down the pigments or work on the tissues to start the process of skin healing. Both of these treatments are comparatively long lasting but they do require booster sessions sometime.

Skin Peeling
Gradual usage which initiates collagen production helps in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Improves moisture content of dry skin types. Rejuvenates skin by removing the dead skin cells. Helps in lightening pigments /dark spots. Helps in reduction of and drying out of active acne. Exfoliates razor bumps. Reduces ingrown hair and smoothens the markings. Reduces the appearance of acne scarring with Brightening and Lightening Medi Facials.

Medi Facial is another method of Skin Brightening/Skin Whitening that uses microdermabrasion, a medical pigment lightening agent as mesotherapy with skin infusion devices to lighten and brighten the skin along with LED masks They are more effective than normal spa facials because they can deeply penetrate the skin. This gives you results that last longer.

Benefits of Brightening and Lightening Medi Facials
Apart from lightening or whitening the skin, the medifacial helps in:
Lightening of superficial pigment spots, Reduction of dark circles especially the ones caused due to sun damage/tanning, Reduction of sun damage in general, Lightening of pigmentation caused due to acne.

Hydradermabrasion
If you are looking for non-invasive skin lightening treatments, hydradermabrasion may be a good choice. It uses serum and water-based pressurization technique to exfoliate the upper layer of your skin. When the damaged and dead skin cells are removed, it resurfaces a healthier, more hydrated, and younger looking skin layer.

PhotoFacial
In PhotoFacials, visual energy-based technology is used to treat brown spots, broken capillaries, boost collagen growth to treat sun-damaged aging and acne-scarred skin. Depending on the skin condition, the type of photofacial administered is customised. Benefits of PhotoFacial-Helps in reduction of pore size. Helps in improving the skin's firmness and elasticity by boosting collagen production. Evens out skin tone by eliminating brown spots, age/sun spots and blotchy areas. Gives a smoother skin texture overall. Helps in removal of fine dark hair above the lips and around the sides of the face.

Skin Hydration Method
Skin Hydration is a relatively new technique offered using a specially prepared version of hyaluronic acid for Mesotherapy linked to a specific injection technique. This allows an experienced practitioner to directly inject hyaluronic acid into larger areas of skin to help improve skin quality and hydration. This Skin Lightening technique improves the condition of the dermis and stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and the body's own hyaluronic acid.

Glutathione for Skin Whitening
Glutathione (GSH) is a natural antioxidant which is present in our body. However, it decreases with the increasing age and without the protection of GSH, the cells start aging faster. As discussed above, glutathione can be taken both as oral medication as well as in form of injections to achieve the desired results. The skin treatment by Glutathione that is offered helps in brightening the skin, rejuvenating the skin, keeping away the signs of ageing.
