WHAT IS PRP?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is concentrated blood plasma that contains approximately 3 to 5 times the number of platelets found in normal circulating blood. In addition, it contains platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor (TGF) and other bioactive proteins that help in the rejuvenation of skin.
PRP is a facial rejuvenation treatment that uses your own plasma to stimulate collagen production and cell migration, allowing for the elimination of lines, folds, and wrinkles. Results from PRP therapy are natural looking and subtle, and they can last for as long as two years. What’s more, PRP is minimally invasive, has no risk of allergic reaction, and can be used to treat nearly any area of the body without risks of side-effects, making it ideal for patients who are not interested in or are not good candidates for injectable fillers. It regenerates the tissues and makes your skin smooth and tight. PRP softens wrinkles and creates skin texture and tone that is smoother, younger and better.
How does PRP Treatment for Skin Rejuvenation differ from fillers or other injection?
1. Lines and skin folds are a common sight on the tired skin, especially around mouth area or eyes.
2. PRP enables the collagen grown by the body and stimulates it to engineer total facial rejuvenation instead of focusing on one wrinkle at a time. It is also used to stabilize the faces which look tired, tone improvisation, making the skin tight and smooth, and fill in the skin areas which the hyaluronic acid either cannot fill either due to lack of reach or reactionary issues.
3. PRP treatment for skin can be done in tandem with Hyaluronic fillers. These are two kinds of treatments which complete each other in order to aid the patient in achieving a much younger face. What fillers cannot do is done by the PRP treatment, for e.g., Fillers helps in removing lines and folds, volumizing the face whereas PRP enhances the skin tone. PRP also improves the texture of the skin and makes it smooth and reduces pore size.
Mesotherapy for skin is a non-surgical technique used to rejuvenate and tighten the skin with the use of injections containing growth factors, vitamins, antioxidants, powerful humectants, anti-aging products, peptides and stem cell extracts. It is also used to remove excess fat in areas like the stomach, thighs, buttocks, hips, legs, arms and face as well as reducing cellulite.
Also known as ‘non-injectable mesotherapy’ is a procedure through which a passageway into the epidermis is opened using an electric field, which allows for a more efficient delivery of nutrients into the cells. Afterwards, once the electric field is shut down, the cell traps the nutrients inside its membrane, which allows for continuing and persistent corrective work. As a reference value, Electroporation will transfer up to 90% of the substances into the skin, as opposed to 10% using the traditional transfer methods and will not leave bruising or reddening or use any type of blades or needles. It helps for:
1. Facial skin resurfacing
2. Lines of expression
3. Acne scars
4. Localized adiposity
5. Pre and post plastic surgery treatment
6. Face and neck firming
When carrying out electroporation, we use customised serums which include potent humectants, effective antiaging products, antioxidants, nutrients, peptides and vitamins according to the desired treatment needed to ensure targeted delivery of the skin care products to the optimal depth for best results.
After treatment, skin will feel rejuvenated, refreshed, smooth, radiant and firmer. We recommend that you combine and alternate electroporation with one of our medifacial treatments and use a medical grade at-home skin care regimen to increase the longevity of results. Results of the treatment remain effective for long.
